Panagbenga festival an event in Baguio City, the country's summer capital. This is a flower festival usually held between February 1st to 29th. This is Baguio's biggest festival and it features parades, garden shows, exhibits & competitions.
Panagbenga festival is highlighted by a parade of floats made entirely of fresh blossoms from local horticulturists.
Multi-hued costumes are worn, mimicking the various blooms of the highland region or any of its 11 ethnic tribes.

Baguio City’s Panagbenga festival began in 1995. The timing was ripe and Panagbenga flower Festival was well supported by the whole Baguio community.
The artist BenCab and other city leaders used the design of Trisha Tabangin to choose the motif.
Panagbenga Festival hymn was composed by Macario Fronda. To this music was added the rhythm and movements of the Bendian dance, an Ibaloi dance of celebration.
The Bendian dance's circular movements speak of unity and harmony among members of the tribe - themes that foreshadowed the coming together of the various sectors of the community to bring the Baguio Panagbenga Flower Festival to life.
