Tour Options

Balicasag Island

Balicasag is a small island south of Panglao and is a favorite among divers primarily because of three famous dive sites that surround the island: Black Forest, the Balicasag Marine Sanctuary and Divers Haven.

Black Forest is a slight slope with black coral bushes teeming with small fishes, a large school of mackerels and barracudas. The Balicasag Marine Sanctuary is a steep wall located on the western side of the island and is teeming with schools of jackfish. Divers Haven is a steep wall with drift dives, has beautiful corals and a cathedral-like cave.

Pamilacan Island

Pamilacan Island lies at the heart of the Bohol Sea and is a 45-minute pump boat ride from the town of Baclayon.

The sea around the island is frequented by whales and dolphins.

The island is considered a jump off to an area where at least seven species of marine mammals like sperm whales have been sighted.

To reach Pamilacan, there are pump boats for hire at the Baclayon town port.

Chocolate Hills

The Chocolate Hills is world-renowned.

There are thousands of cone-shaped hills spreading out on a natural open plateau, looking like mystic mounds.

They look like chocolate kisses during summer when the grasses, that cover the hills, turn into brown.

There are two areas to visit to get a good look at the hills. These are at the Chocolate Hills Complex in Carmen town, and at the Sagbayan Peak.

The Chocolate Hills Complex at Carmen is an old tourist site with a hotel, restaurant, a swimming pool and a souvenir shop.

More than a hundred steps lead to the top of the highest hill where the complex is located.

And from there, you get a magnificent view of these unusual geological formations.

Sagbayan Peak

Sagbayan Peak also offers a good view of the chocolate mounds.

It is now being developed into a new tourist destination with a butterfly dome, a restaurant, a café and a souvenir shop.

A swimming pool is now being developed. Nipa huts are present displaying native products.

It commands a beautiful view of the sea and the neighboring island of Cebu.

Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary

The Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary is an approximately 134-hectare land that has been set aside as a protected area for the Philippine Tarsier.

Tarsiers are small and only weigh about 113 to 142 grams. They have big eyes and can rotate their heads to almost 180 degrees.

The tarsier trail starts at the municipality of Corella and ends at the Loboc River. Tarsiers in captivity can be found at Loboc town where you can touch them. They are quite friendly and harmless.

Dolphin and Whale Watching

Boats for hire are available at Baclayon town. The boats will bring you to the Pamilacan Island where the huge whale shark and the dolphins live. The whale sharks are friendly and a joy to see is the school of playful dolphins.

Waterfalls & Springs

The Mag-aso Falls in Antiquera is 20 km from Tagbilaran. The fall drops 10 m with lush vegetation around it.

Antequera also offers a wide display of all kinds of baskets at the market area on Sundays.

The Camogao Falls in San Isidro, Balilihan is another attraction and passable only by a motorcycle.

You will pass by rugged cliffs and ravines as you trek down the falls.

The Tontonan Falls in Loboc fall about 15 m in two stages at the base of a tropical forest valley.

A small falls can be found at Valencia town where the water is icy cold.

The place is called Badiang Spring, by the locals. Two pools have been developed and are favorite destinations for local and foreign tourist alike.

A spring pool can also be found at Garcia Hernandez town. The water is icy cold, too.

Hinagdanan Cave

Hinagdanan Cave is the most popular and easy to reach among the different caves in Bohol province. Classified as a karst cave, it is located in the town of Dauis in Panglao Island. The cave boasts of a large number of stalactites and stalagmites and leads to an underground pool where visitors can take a dip. Water is icy cold yet a bit warm at the outlet where the spring meets the sea.

Old Churches

There are lots of old churches in the province of Bohol. Almost all of the 47 towns of the Bohol Province have old, massive, stone churches with frescoes, product of Spanish colonization.

The Church of the Our Lady of the Immaculate Concepcion in Baclayon town is considered as one of the best preserved Jesuit-built churches in the region.

It was built in 1727 and is considered as the oldest church in the country. The church also has a museum which features cantorals, or large handwritten music books in Latin and other museum pieces that date back to the 16th century.

Facilities and Amenities

There are 9 bungalow type cottages or nipa huts (as the locals call it) with thatched roofing and an area of 25 square meters each.

For meetings, the resort’s hall area can accommodate up to 60 persons and have state-of-the-art audio, video, and stage equipments like LCD projector, sound system, microphones, desk top computer and laptop

The resort’s diving boat is the largest in the island equipped with all the gadgets and safety devices to make your diving adventure hassle-free and safe. The resort offers gear service, camera hire and liveboards.

A freshwater swimming pool and a kiddy pool are provided with a round pool bar that offer refreshing cocktail drinks and delicious snacks.
