Cebu Province is made up of 48 municipalities and 5 cities - Cebu, Danao, Lapu-lapu, Mandaue and Toledo - with Cebu City as its capital.

Bohol is an island province of the Philippines located in the Central Visayas region. Its capital is Tagbilaran City. Bohol is a popular tourist destination with its beaches and resorts. The Chocolate Hills, numerous mounds of limestone formations, is the most popular attraction. The Philippine Tarsier, considered by some to be the smallest primates is indigenous to the island. Carlos P. Garcia, the country's fourth president, was from the island.

Davao

Davao City is located deep in the heart of the Philippines' exotic south, in the southeastern portion of Mindanao Island. A highly urbanized city that serves as the major economic, financial, and educational centre of the entire island. Tourists can try climbing Mount Apo, the country's tallest peak; nature trekking or hiking at Eden Nature Park; exploring the numerous pineapple, banana and other fruit plantations of which the region is known for; kayaking, sailing or just lazing around at any of the numerous beach resorts, including white sand resorts on nearby Samal Island.

Palawan Island

Palawan is considered to be the Philippines' "last frontier". The province boasts of many splendid beaches and has two World Heritage Sites: Tubbataha Reef National Marine Park and the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park. Palawan is a lush green island with some of the best spots to dive in the country. The dive sites as well as the luxury resorts are located at El Nido at the north end of the island. Go there for seashells butterflies jungle walks and the Tabon Caves an ancient burial site.

Baguio City

Situated in the heart of the Cordilleras and about 250 km north of Manila, Baguio City is blessed with a cool temperature all through out the year. A "must see place" away from the scourging lowland heat especially on the summer months of March to May. To most of the adventure seekers the city is the jump off point towards Baguio's nearby destinations such as Sagada in Mountain Province, The famous Banaue Rice Terraces in Banaue, Ifugao and Mt. Pulag of Kibungan, Benguet.

Tagaytay

An hour or so ride away from Manila is Tagaytay, a picturesque city that surrounds (or almost surrounds) a lake that has a volcano that has a lake inside it. There are several ways to take advantage of this gift of nature. You can either have lunch or dinner (with a panoramic view of the volcano and lake) at one of the restaurants on the ridge and enjoy the view from there, or you can travel down the ridge to the lakeside, take a small boat to the volcano in the center.

Dumaguete

Dumaguete City is the capital, principal seaport, and largest city of Negros Oriental. The city is nicknamed The City of Gentle People. Referred to as a university town because of the presence of Silliman University, six other universities and colleges, the city is a popular educational destination for students of surrounding provinces and cities in Visayas and Mindanao.

There are numerous attractions: some of the best dive sites in the world namely Apo Island and Sumilon Island; one of most diverse marine ecosystem in the World, - specially Apo Island's beautiful corals and marine life in this Marine Preserve managed by Silliman University.

Dolphin and whale watching in nearby Bais Bay, Spelunking in Mabinay Cave System, Hiking to the three lakes on top of Mt Talinis are just some of the sights one can visit to make your visit in Dumaguete complete.

Philippine Weather

Philippine Weather has two very different climate zones. In the coastal and lowland areas there's a typically tropical marine climate: hot and humid throughout most of the year. However, most of the year constant sea breezes temper the climate somewhat except during the dry summer months from March to the end of May.

What to Wear

General--light, natural fiber, loose fitting garments are most comfortable. Light jacket or sweater for the mountain areas, especially during Dec-Jan. Do not wear short-shorts and skimpy tops when visiting churches or mosques. Business & Formal--men may wear the barong tagalog (a long sleeve shirt of light fabric; formal ones have intricate embroidery). The barong is worn untucked and may be worn instead of a suit. Women may wear a cocktail dress or light suit.
